This is a diary of our home improvements. It’s about things we change, create, cook, and learn here in our home in a new build in East Yorkshire. I annoy all of my friends with this decorating talk, so decided to get it all out in a blog instead.

I lean towards the art deco look with this house, and am gradually phasing out pieces that we’ve had for years in favour of this style, and I shop around a lot to try to buy everything to get the look I want for less.

My husband is good at DIY, and generally, I am project director and official tea-maker, but I share in 50% of the glory of the finished product as that is how marriage works.
